It’s that time of year again. Autumn colors are beginning to dawn. In Colorado, fall is beautiful because of its aspen trees, which seem to glow in golden fire when the sunlight catches them.
I love the fall. So as soon as I saw it was coming, I wrote a little poem. It is a simple poem. A poem intending to revel in the simple joys of the world God has given us. Even when life is hard, there is still much to celebrate. (I needed a reminder of that recently, as it’s been a little rough.)
I hope you enjoy this simple tribute.
Fire & Gold
Fall is in the air.
Cold, crisp, fresh.
Soon the trees will blush in fire,
bestowing their gold on the streets.
Another small gift from nature
to keep us alive and breathing in Beauty.
(And no, I did not take these pictures. I’m hoping to get outside with my camera soon and get some soon.)
